BUDOKON YOGA PRIMARY SERIES/ INTRODUCTION Workshop

Budokon Yoga is a style of yoga codified and popularized by martial arts and yoga master Cameron Shayne beginning in 2001. The foundation of this style is the Budokon Yoga Primary Series. This series consists of 7 intelligently assembled sections of slow and controlled movements designed to improve mobility, agility, flexibility and strength. The techniques are learned through repetition and precision, the emphasis being on the transitions from posture to posture, rather than the holding of postures. The purpose of this workshop is to gain muscular strength, cardiovascular stamina, as well as joint mobility and familiarize the student with the Series.

Friday, August 23rd, 5:30-7pm (Makeup Class Saturday, August 24th, 1-2:30pm)

Friday, August 30th, 5:30-7pm (Makeup Class Saturday, August 31st, 1-2:30pm)

THURSDAY, September 5th, 5:30-7pm (Makeup Class Saturday, September 7th, 1-2:30pm)

Friday, September 13th, 5:30-7pm (Makeup Class Saturday, September 14th, 1-2:30pm)

About the Instructor, Joanna Harris

Joanna is a dynamic movement specialist with a diverse range of certifications and expertise, holding a 200-hour yoga certification and additional specialized training as a Stretch Coach and Budokon Yoga & Mobility Instructor. As a black belt in Kajukenbo, Joanna brings a unique self-defense focus to her practice, blending strength, flexibility, and agility. Her approach emphasizes living a life of awareness, both inside and out, fostering a holistic connection between mind, body, and spirit.

With a passion for capturing life's moments, Joanna is also a skilled photographer, videographer, and graphic designer, seamlessly integrating creativity into every aspect of her work for over 20 years.
